A very Happy Crimbo and a fab New Year to
you all!
To celebrate 2007, I am going to be
putting my back catalogue of Mash-Ups on the site for download. I have
had so many requests for this, I can resist no longer! Here's the first
batch...
Thanks once again to the Sun for coverage of this
track...

Here's what they said...
With only 13 days to Christmas, you might be tired of novelty songs,
decade-old tunes and having Slade on repeat.
But with this new twist on a festive classic - WHAM'S Last Christmas
mashed with Lady (Hear Me Tonight) by MOJO - comes a new dance classic
in its own right.
It may have cheese written all over it, but with festivity and
sing-along samples, it’s sure to have us dancing embarrassingly over the
Crimbo hols.
Mixed reactions to the new Robbie track, you either
like it or hate it! Hopefully my mash makes it a little more
palatable? Please let me know what you think? Hide Description

Destiny's Child vs. Goodmen
Give it Up if you Lose Your Breath v7 120bpm 3:44
not a mash but a
remix
this time! I think that Gnarls Barkley - Crazy is a probable No. 1
but the promo I received was a bit short. So I lengthened it, added
a new rhythm track and speeded it up to 120bpm. Hope you like it?

Mish Mash vs. Michael Jackson
Don't Stop Til You're Speechless v2 124bpm 5:16
An obvious mash to do really (but
somebody had to do it!). There's three Michael Jackson tracks in
there... 'Don't Stop, Thriller and Shake your Body'. I didn't
have any a capella's for this so I had to bring MJ down in the mix
so that the instruments wouldn't clash to much. I think it works?

Indeep vs. Sister Sledge
Last Night a DJ Got Lost in Music v4 114bpm 4:35
Somebody told me that there was a
mash of these two records floating around but despite my efforts, I
couldn't find it to have a listen! I had the elements so I made my
own version. I don't know how it compares to the other one, perhaps
you can let me know?

C & C Music Factory + Heavy D
- Now That We've Found a Deeper Love
v2 (Mash) 123bpm
Based on a mash I did last
year for the 80's show. Phats and Small released their
version of Sweet Dreams so I added all of the mash elements
for the house jocks Hope you like it, I'd value your
reactions, thanx!

Imagination vs. Pussycat
Dolls Don't Cha Hallucinate v3 118bpm 5:07
I was originally going to
mash Madge with Michael Jackson - The Way You Make Me Feel
because they were a similar rhythm but the keys clashed. So
I had a look through my a capella collection and found that
Ciara was just the job! Reactions please.

Queen vs. Gwen Stefani
Another Hollaback Dust Up
v1.1 111bpm 3:54
Another obvious combination!
I've played it out and it's received very well. I'm pleased
with the results. Hope you like it, reactions please.

Black Eyed Peas vs. Pink
Let's Get the Party Started
v4.2 107bpm 4:09
Seemed an obvious combination
in my head but when it came to it, I realised that the
tempo's were completely different. However, after a couple
of plays the overall effect appears quite natural(?)
Hope you like it, reactions please.

Destiny's Child vs. Jones
Girls Lose My Breath in Egypt v2 115bpm 4:47
I know that you shouldn't mess with a classic
like this but I wanted to bring it to a new audience. And I
actually think it works quite well. Please let me know what
you think?

Beyonce vs. Will Smith
Switchin' Crazy
v1.1 100bpm 4:41
Actually didn't take too long to do. Used a
combination of the Beyonce instrumental and the original
track, plus the a capella of Will Smith and Beyonce.

Pink Floyd vs. Grange Hill
Another Brick in the Class Room v3 101bpm 3:38
Thought that this would be good for Skool
Disco's and Student Union Bashes! Pink Floyd also happens to
be the first number one of the eighties! please let me know
what you think? Cheers
As always, please do not put my tracks into your
peer2peer folder, ta!

Christina Milian vs. Jackson 5
I Want You Back Whatever v2 104bpm 3:39
Came together quite quickly (in a couple of
hours). I used the instrumental of Christina Milian and
raised it by 2 semitones. I used the acapella of Jackson 5
(Which I believe was off of a previous remix) and touches of
the opening of the original track! As always, please do
not put my tracks into your peer2peer folder, ta!

Marvin Gaye vs. Hall & Oats
Can't Go for Sexual Healing
v4.1 (MG acapella Version) 110bpm 5:13
I did the original of this about six months
ago! I didn't have the Marvin Gaye acapella then so I had to
blend the original 2 tracks. I recently acquired acapella
(as you would know from my last track) so I thought that I
would give this another shot!

Frankie Beverly & Maze
vs. Marvin Gaye Joy & Pain & Sexual Healing
v1 (Extended) 106bpm 7:09
Came together quite smoothly and took about a
day. You probably wouldn't notice straight off but I had to
lower Marvin Gaye by a semitone to fit the key but it works!
As always, please do not put my tracks into your
peer2peer folder, thanx!

Mary J Blige
vs. 50cent vs. J Kwon
Family in da Club getting Tipsy v4 (Edit) 93bpm 5:25
50 Cent a bit over used in mash-ups but this
fits nicely with J-Kwon! This was one of my early mash-ups
with just MJB & 50 cent but at that time it was 9mins long
and got a little laborious! I then cut it down to 7mins when
I added J-Kwon but that still went on a bit. I think it's
now at a reasonable length(?) I'm pleased with the
result, hope you like it too? As always, please do not
put my tracks into your peer2peer folder, ta!

David Bowie vs. Black Street
Fame But No Diggidy v1.2 96bpm
OK, I found my old David Bowie hit's album
and decided to use a few of the tracks! This only took me a
few hours. I'm quite pleased with the results. Surprisingly
went down well at the club too!
As always, please do not put my tracks into your peer2peer

Wham vs. Michael Jackson
Bad Bad Boys v2
123bpm 4:24
Here's one for the mobile and party jocks! I
just took two records with 'Bad' in the title to see if they
would fit and this was the result. I've played it out and it
worked OK on the dance floor. If you would like a copy to
use, please email me with your details.
I hope that you have success with it also, please let me
know?

Dolly Parton vs. Destiny's Child
Independent Woman Working 9 to 5
v1.1 100bpm 5:29
I'm presently doing a gig on the 1st Thursday
of every month called 'Working Girl' (no, not that type!)
and being a girly thing, they keep asking for 9 to 5. It's a
bit cheesy for me so I thought I'd add Destiny's Child for a
bit of credibility. I think it works quite well? I
know I've used this acapella before but if it works... it
works!

This track just came together
in a few hours and I'm very pleased with it. The reaction
from my DJ fiends has been fabulous and the audiences really
like it too. It would make a really good single!

Just seemed like a natural combination, until
I came to do it! I had to bring up Destiny's Child a
semitone and it then came together OK!

Ice Cube vs. Jeanie - I Dream of Ice Cube
(Dec 2004 Mix) One of my favourite Hip Hop tracks but Playing it
at my current venue I decided I needed to make it a little more cheesy! I
think this works(?)
Listen(FM Quality)
This seemed like a good idea when I started but found that
there was a clash in keys! I brought K7 down a semitone or
two and it seems to work pretty well now.

I put this together... because I could!
I originally thought it was a pleasant groove and be a good warm up!
However, I've been extremely surprised by the response and
it is now firmly played in my main set! maybe I should try
and get a release?

I haven't done any house Mash-ups because I'm not presently

soon, promise!

I was going
to add tom Tom Club to Khia but I had already done it with Kelis so I
decided to throw them all together. Took a bit longer as I had to change
the keys of all the tracks but I'm quite happy with the results.

Peter Andre vs. 50cent - Mysterious Girl In Da
Club. I'm pretty pleased with
the result! A big hit everywhere, this djspider.com remix makes it a little
less cheesy! I played it out and it became the Tiger Anthem of 2003!
