Here are the streams of the Totally 80's Mash-Ups that I've done
so far. No Downloads yet I'm afraid as these were made exclusively for the radio
show, maybe sometime in the future?
If you are a working DJ and would like to play any of these
tracks, then Just email me with your details and I'll send it to you.
Here are the
editions to my mash-up collection...
18: July: 2005
Pink Floyd vs. Grange Hill
Another Brick in the Class Room v3 101bpm 3:38
Thought that this would be good for Skool Disco's and Student Union Bashes!
Pink Floyd also happens to be the first number one of the eighties! please let me know what you think? Cheers
As always, please do not put my tracks into your peer2peer folder, ta! Hide Description
26: May: 2005
Marvin Gaye vs. Hall & Oats Can't Go for Sexual Healing v4.1 (MG acapella Version) 110bpm 5:13
I did the original of this about six months ago!
I didn't have the Marvin Gaye acapella then so I had to blend the original 2 tracks.
I recently acquired acapella (as you would know from my last track) so I thought that I would give this another shot!

23: May: 2005
Frankie Beverly & Maze vs. Marvin Gaye Joy & Pain & Sexual Healing
v1 (Extended) 106bpm 7:09
Came together quite smoothly and took about a day.
You probably wouldn't notice straight off but I had to lower Marvin Gaye by a semitone to fit the key but it works!
As always, please do not put my tracks into your peer2peer folder, thanx! Hide Description
15: May: 2005
David Bowie vs. Black Street
Fame But No Diggidy v1.2 96bpm
OK, I found my old David Bowie hit's album
and decided to use a few of the tracks! This only took me a
few hours. I'm quite pleased with the results. Surprisingly
went down well at the club too! As always, please do not put my tracks into your peer2peer folder, ta! Hide Description
12: May: 2005
Wham vs. Michael Jackson
Bad Bad Boys v2 123bpm 4:24
Here's one for the mobile and party jocks! I just took two records with 'Bad' in the title to see if they would fit and this was the result. I've played it out and it worked OK on the dance floor.
If you would like a copy to use, please email me with your details. I hope that you have success with it also, please let me know? As always, please do not put my tracks into your peer2peer folder, ta! Hide Description
06: May: 2005 (It's My Birthday!)
Dolly Parton vs. Destiny's Child Independent Woman Working 9 to 5
v1.1 100bpm 5:29
I'm presently doing a gig on the 1st Thursday of every month called 'Working Girl' (no, not that type!)
and being a girly thing, they keep asking for 9 to 5. It's a bit cheesy for me so I thought I'd add Destiny's Child for a bit of credibility. I think it works quite well?
I know I've used this acapella before but if it works... it
works!

01:Dec:2004
I've been commissioned to do some 80's Mash-Ups for a radio show
called 'Totally 80's (oddly enough!), which is broadcast to independent stations
around the country (usually on a Saturday). Strange but True! The show is
presented by Gary King of
'Capital/Heart/Magic.
I'll be posting them on the web site once they have been aired. The first goes
out on the 4th Dec and is 'INXS vs. Prince'
Broadcast 04 Dec 2004
I've just finished the second which is
'Depeche Mode vs.
New Order' with a cheeky little modern sample. Broadcast 11 Dec 2004
My third Mash-Up is 'Yazz vs. Black Box vs.
Technotronic'. I've played it out and it goes down a storm! This should
be broadcast on the 18 Dec 2004.
There will be four Mash-Ups initially, run on consecutive weeks and hopefully
more after the that (if they go down well?). Please check out the web site for
the company that's putting the show together...
If you have any ideas of 80's track that might work well together
then please send me your ideas an I'll see what I can do!
